Tamparuli Sabah was known as an old town rich with cultural value and fascinating places. The town located in the middle of Tuaran District, 36KM from the main city of Kota Kinabalu, easy to be found and a lot of surprises waiting for the visitors. Tamparuli is now on the merge to the develop city by the year 2015 and with help from the appointed assembly person Datuk Jahid Jahim. People of Tamparuli never tested this development 35 years back and thanks our older generation that provide us with this greatest achievement. Luckily I was born during the 1970s era which Tamparuli, Kiulu and Tuaran is on changing era to become a develop city. Synopsis: This publication was published to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Sabah independence within Malaysia. The book is structured in an explanatory and chronological order linked to comprehensive factual information. The first chapter on Formation of Malaysia gives an account of the Malaysian federation and Sabah's role in the formation of Malaysia.

Chapter 2 on Political Development in Sabah focuses on phases of goverment, communal and multiracial politic, nation-building goals and the developlment of Federal-state relations.

Chapter 3 on Economic Growth and Development details the rate and extend of economic development in all sectors of the economy since 1963. Discussions also include constraints, strengths and weaknesses of the Sabah economy and the search for a new direction-the Sabah Action Blueprint.

Chapter 4 on Development of Administrative System traces the transformation of the government administrative system-the change in administrative structure with regard to the civil service, executive and judiciary, and the extend and implications of the federalisation of department and public services.

The subsequent six chapters are devoted to social devoted to social development covering such areas as welfare and health services; and development in public housing education, libraries, archives and museum. These chapters deal with achievements of the respective areas during the five Malaysia plan period and prospects and challenges for the post-1990 period.

Chapter 11 on Cultural Development is concerned with the growth and freedom of cultural expression, the formation of cultural groups and associations including their contribution to the state and nation.

Chapter 12 on Demography discusses populations growth and trends; distribution and spatial characteristics, population mobility and internal migration. The last chapter on The Past and Future in Perspective reflects on the overrall achievements of Sabah, the expectations and the aspirations of the people of Sabah in the Malaysin Federation and the nation-building role of Sabah in the years ahead.
