Kindergarten Teacher Was Hit On Head With Falling "No Parking" Sign

Donation for Kindergarten Teacher Reaches RM53k

The donations for kindergarten teacher Loi Ik Thai who was hit on the head by a falling "no parking" sign has reached RM53,000 - thanks to the generous public.

KK MP Hiew King Cheu, who has appealed to the public to kindly donate to assist her on the mounting hospital bills, said:

"So far, the figure is coming to a total of RM53,000 but the amount needed in future until her full recovery is hard to estimate.

"Loi's family wishes to extend sincere thanks and gratitude towards those who have made their kind donations."

Hiew visited the teacher and was informed that the doctors had cut away the top part of her skull for cleaning the brain, and stitched back her scuff without replacing her skull bone.

They are waiting for her to regain consciousness before the skull is finally reinserted later.

Hiew said he also checked with the Mayor of DBKK and was informed that DBKK is pursuing the public liability insurance claim from the insurance company on this case on her behalf.

"They (DBKK) are not sure as to when the money can be released," he said, urging the insurance company to release payment soon as possible.

Hiew said the teacher has not regained consciousness and the family is worried about her situation.

Hiew again urged the public to make generous donations to the father's account to help the teacher and her family.
