Six Brunei Tourist Died near Kg Koporingan

Bus Accident at Kg Koporingan, Tamparuli.

As I'm on the way to Tamparuli yesterday I was shocked when the road was jam and the condition of the road was butt to butt. I travel from Ranau and I nearly reached Tamparuli at 4pm, about 13km to Tamparuli town. As I open my car window, I heard the passing driver saying " Kesian" and that mean pity. First came in my mind was.. an accident because there was no landslide ever happen in that area. I am a Tamparulian and I know the condition of the road from Tamparuli Town to Ranau. A little reminder for you guys out there who intend to visit Ranau and surely you will be using Tamapruli-Ranau road take a little bit precuation for the safety of yourself and your family. As I pass the scene, I saw five plastic bag in black which mean.. a dead person usually being cover by this material. It was a tragedy and really feel pity for the victim. I also heard that six people died on the spot and the BOMBA still struggling to help the other victim. Hopefully all will be fine. Sorry guy I did not take any picture. For Tamparulian "Be Careful While You Are Driving" and Take care.

The bus which was travelling from Tawau towards here rolled twice on the road after the driver lost control of the vehicle, grazed a tourist bus in the opposite direction before coming to a halt about 30m away when it crashed into a tree by the roadside.
Its roofing was also ripped partially on impact at the scene about 45km from here. Two of passengers died at the scene and another at the Tuaran district hospital.
The group arrived here last Friday and travelled to Tawau where they had also spent the night on Monday. They were on their way back here to spend another night before returning to Brunei today.
