Two Sulaman PBS leaders join PKR

Tuaran: Two Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders from Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) in Sulaman here resigned and joined Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) on Friday, claiming they were unhappy because their former party has veered from its original struggle.

PBS Sulaman division vice chief, Dominic Ombilod Onul, and its committee member, Ahling Kabaron, handed over their forms to Pakatan Rakyat (PR) de facto leader and PKR Adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during a gathering held Dewan Keluarga Damit, Tenghilan, near here.

PKR Sabah Chief, Tamrin Jaini, and its Tuaran division chief, Haji Ansari Abdullah, were also present in the event which was attended by about 2,000 people.

Believing that the PR that has gained more support from multiracial citizens of this country would bring changes to the national political scenario, they both pledged to work hard to assist the opposition.

Prior to this, former private secretary to the Local Government and Housing Minister Mohd Fairuz Bandar, who was Umno Nulu Tuaran division chief, also resigned from his post and the party.
