Poor commitment by Teacher In Pensiangan.

Many teachers from the peninsula and Sarawak, who filled the 50 vacancies in Pensiangan to replace those who had been sacked, have not regularly turned up in school. This is for reasons like car problems, poor road conditions, especially during the rainy season, and no clean water supplies, in spite of it being the norm for locals in the area, said Bingkor Sabah Reform Movement Chairman, Victor Leonardus.

"Many of them applied for the job which promised a higher allowance of between RM1,000 and RM1,500 not inclusive of salary," he said Wednesday. Leonardus was commenting on some of the reasons why the people are no longer supporting the Barisan Nasional (BN) government.

He added other reasons include higher prices of goods and the low rate of Sabahans holding director posts in the Federal and State departments in the State. Meanwhile, Leonardus also announced that Sabah Reform Movement Chairman, Datuk Seri Wilfred Bumburing will be visiting Apin-Apin on Nov 4. 2012.
