Home stay is a brand new style to attract more tourist come to Malaysia. When I visit my mother in law in Ranau yesterday I saw the signboard state " Walai Tokou Home Stay ". I ask some local to get information and they told me that Walai Tokou Home Stay is situated at Kundasang Ranau Sabah. Walai Tokou Home Stay about 61km from Kota Kinabalu and 16KM to Ranau Town. Please visit this home stay to enjoy the real way of life of Dusuns live in Kundasang Town.

This mountainous district enjoys a cool temperature all year round. Just 10 minutes away, the Kinabalu Park—a World Heritage Site is the starting point in climbing the majestic Mount Kinabalu. The Walai Tokou Homestay at Kampung Sinisian is only a stone throw away from Kundasang Town. Be warmly welcomed by traditional dances and a Paku Dita drink as you arrive. Visitors might also want to check out the Kundasang War Memorial and take a hot bath at the Poring Hotsprings.

Tanak Nabalu Homestay is located in the plains of the valley-Lobong Kg.Lobong Kota Belud. Located about 60km from Kota Kinabalu city, 33km from Tamparuli Sabah and 5km from the main road Kota Kinabalu-Ranau. This Home Stay background view is the mighty Mt.Kinabalu. Tanak Nabalu Homestay name was taken from the stone call Tanak Watu Mount Kinabalu, located in the middle of Kg. Lobong-Lobong Kota Belud. Homestay at Pukak, Kiulu Sabah

Pukak and Matabang Homestay, 20km from Tamparuli Sabah.


The cool and hilly area of Kiulu near Tamparuli is located about 45 minutes drive north east ofKota Kinabalu. From the famous Jambatan Tamparuli (Tamparuli hanging bridge), you continue uphill for most of the drive to get to Kampung Pukak Homestay, about 30 minutes away. The drive provides the opportunity to enjoy scenic sights such as the Kiulu River, which is perfect for White Water Rafting as well as terraced paddy fields in various sizes. A visit to tamu (or an open market) in Tamparuli on Wednesdays is a must!

Pukak is located 20km from Tamparuli, a small town not far from Kiulu Town and it took about 45 minute from Kota Kinabalu City by land transport. Pukak town take one step a head by providing this services to the local and foregin tourist. Pukak Homestay is jointventure with the local in Pukak with Sabah Government under Sabah Tourism Board. Pukak and Matabang Homestay is under the supervision from Sabah Tourism Board. Tourist who stay at this homestay can enjoy Kiulu White River Rafting, take a bath at the Tuaran River, enjoy the Tamus at Pukak, Kiulu, Tamparuli and Tuaran.

Other places that the tourist can visit is Hatob-hatob waterfall at Malangan Lama under supervision by St John Tuaran and Pulau Kelapa at Malangan Baru. The best month of the year for the tourist to visit Pukak and Tamparuli is on February till September. Tourist can stop at Tamparuli Town first to enjoy delicious food there and buy some neccessity goods to be use at the Pukak and Matabang Homestay.
