Differences between pupils in Pennisular of Malaysia and Sabah

It's hardly to explain the differences between pupils in Peninsular of Malaysia and Sabah. I wrote this article because of one of my friend suggested me to do it. He also a Tamparulian and taking the same course with me here at Institut Perguruan (Teacher Institute) Johor Bahru. We have talked a lot  about the differences between the pupils here at Johor and Sabah. I was surprise when he told me  about his pupils at SK Kg Maju Jaya Johor Bahru which I will not reveal. Based from my experience doing practical training here, I have learnt that the most apparent cause was the way of thinking. This maybe affected by the mind set of their family way of thinking. As for Sabahan I know that the way of thinking for Sabahan is simple and the end result of any decision was also simple. People here are more to critical thinking wheres it maybe affected by the surrounding scenario and tough way of living. I have tought these pupils and they seem to understand with any type of problem discussed regrading to daily life. I felt a little bit envy with the pupils ability of thinking because I never experienced it during when I was same age with them. Imagine that Sabahan pupils also in the same condition with them. Perhaps our Sabahan pupils will it achieved soon...

There are more differences but for this article I just want to focus on the way of thinking only. Can you imagine a ten years old pupils can think like a teenagers age between 15 to 18 years old? For those teacher who have been or having experiences teaching here at Johor they are familiar with this scenario. I'm not blaming the Sabahan pupils are lack of knowledge and a little bit behind times wheres it will effect they way of thinking but at least they can improve they way of thinking with the help from their family by adapting new idea and mind set. There are more than 145 primary school in Sabah and mostly the school location is in the rural area and the mind set of people there were very limited. I have been dreaming of having good pupils where can suit all the lesson planned for them by the Ministry Of Education (Malaysia). I have to change and create something new for suitability for my future pupils in Sabah. 

Issue can be solved and here I have suggested one opinion to reduce the gap between pupils in Pennisular of Malaysia and Sabah. The main problem is the surrounding scenario and to tackle this we as a teacher need to expose this pupils to the current situation. We have to inject more knowledge to them by picking good information only. School is for education and teacher is the driver to guide the pupils to the right track. Teacher must help the pupils to get knowledgeable information. The main point is expose the current situation so that we can change the pupils ability to think outside the comfort zone. This opinion is for pupils in Sabah and for the Pennisular Pupils all we have to do is to strengthen them with moral value inserted to they way of thinking. The way of thinking was the major differences between pupils in Peninsular of Malaysia and Sabah. Till then all the best for teacher and happy weekend.
