Catholic Priest from Timogun Murut Christian Community

It was a proud day for the Timugon Murut Christian community when one of them was ordained Priest in a ceremony at St Anthony Church, here, Saturday.

Bishop Datuk Cornelius Pong conducted the ordination ceremony for Father Roney Peter Mailap, 31, the eldest son of farmers Walter Mailap Matthew and Christina Salia Runsin.

He received his early education at SK Kalang Kanar before completing his Form Six at SMK Tenom until 1999.

Before pursuing his study in Theology, he had worked in Small Holding Management Sdn Bhd for one year and in the hotel line for two years.

He was accepted as a Seminarian at the Catholic Diocesan Centre Kota Kinabalu for two years and later studied Theology at the St Peter's College, Kuching Sarawak for five years.

After eight years, his journey towards priesthood was nearly complete when he was made Deacon last year.

Also on hand at the ceremony was Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Radin Malleh and wife Datin Angeline Tom, Datuk Ferdinand Kadoh Agundong and his wife Datuk John Angian and Datuk Jake Nointin as well as more than 2,000 Catholics.

You really make it appear really easy together with your presentation but
I to find this topic to be actually something which I
feel I would by no means understand. It kind of feels too complex
and very huge for me. I am looking ahead to your subsequent submit, I will
attempt to get the grasp of it!
