Sabah FA Vs QPR

Support our team, All the best for Sabah FA, Go Sabah Go.....

Details story.... please read below passage.

KOTA KINABALU, Malaysia:  Anton Ferdinand declined to comment Saturday on John Terry being cleared of racially abusing him, as the QPR defender arrived in Malaysia with his team-mates for a pre-season tour.

Chelsea captain Terry was found not guilty on Friday at a court in London, in a high-profile trial that overshadowed the English Premier League and the national team for months.
Ferdinand – younger brother of Terry’s former international team-mate Rio Ferdinand – and the Queens Park Rangers squad touched down in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah state, on Borneo island.

Met by a throng of reporters at the airport, Ferdinand said “no comment” when asked about the not-guilty verdict.

QPR chief executive Philip Beard added: “We have nothing to comment on Anton, except that he is part of the squad that is travelling with us. We shall see how things take shape over the next few days.”
Ferdinand’s parents on Friday also declined to comment as they left court.

The trial related to an incident involving Terry and Ferdinand during a Premier League match on October 23 last year. Terry was stripped of the England captaincy in February over the allegations.
As a consequence, Fabio Capello resigned as England manager, just months before England – defender Terry included – competed in the European Championships.

Terry could yet face disciplinary action from England’s Football Association despite being cleared in court. The FA said it would continue its own disciplinary process, which was suspended so as not to prejudice the trial.

QPR, owned by Malaysian businessman Tony Fernandes, will play a friendly against a local Sabah squad on Tuesday before heading to the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur to meet Super League champions Kelantan in a friendly on Friday.

They will then fly to Indonesia and play against local team Persebaya Surabaya on July 23.
Asked about speculation linking the London club to Liverpool’s Craig Bellamy, Beard said: “The manager has already made some signings to beef up the squad and any more signings will be up to the manager, Mark Hughes.” – AFP

Sabah Head Coach Mr Justin Ganai

My Life My Story: Sabah Hawks Vs Negeri Sembilan 12 April 2012

Sabah Hawks next match will be with Negeri Sembilan. Sabah Hawks can beat Negeri Sembilan or not it will depend on the team coach headed by the legendary Sabahan Players during the Hey Days for Sabah FA in the 80s, Mr Justin Ganai. Previous match with Selangor FA, Sabah Hawks manage to grab one point which tie the Red Giant Selangor FA with 1-1 draw. Our supporter who watch the game live give their very best to boost up the moral  for the players but with lack of opportunity and best chances, Sabah Hawks satisfied with the match result. What we need now as the supporter for Sabah Hawks, we need a consistent game. Although Sabah Hawks players, played their very best in every game but with lack of finishing Sabah Hawks fail to gain more important point. As the supporter for Sabah Hawks we want our team to win the next game with Negeri Sembilan.

As I remember, Sabah Hawks or Sabah FA had beat Negeri Sembilan many times. I remember that when Jackrison Kilan play for Negeri Sembilan and during the match between Sabah FA, Sabah FA manage to beat them 4-1. This match happen in 1997 or 1998. Jackrison Kilan was one of the best player who once played with Sabah FA in 1993-1997. During that day, the most popular player for Sabah FA was Matlan Marjan, Scott Ollenransaw, Burhan Ajui, Jelius Ating, Charles Tindi, Henry Anjun and many more. That was the very best glorious day for Sabah FA. We wish to have  a glorious moment like that once more time. All the best for Sabah Hawks. I will wait for three points.

Sabah Hawks Draw with Selangor PKNS (27 jan 2012)

Last night was a frustration match. I been waiting for a goal from Sabah Hawks in the first half but they did not have chance at all. Luckily they scored two goal during the second half of the game. The two goal scored by Sabah Hawks help the team to get one valuable point. The end result was Sabah Hawks draw with Selangor PKNS (2,2). Sabah Hawks goal scored Micheal Baird and OG from PKNS Player while the two goals scored by PKNS was from their Import player from Egypt. The game was more to Sabah Hawks but with lack of luck, the Hawks cannot scored any goal during the first half. I would like to "Thumb Up" for the die hard supporter during the match at PKNS Stadium carrying a banner "Fight Forever Sabah FA". For the Sabah Hawks head coach Mr Justin Ganai... Good Job and hopefully next week Sabah Hawks will win against Kelantan Warrior.

Next week game Sabah Hawks Vs Kelantan Warrior will be held at Stadium Likas (07 Feb 2012). Come and support the team. I wish that Mafry Balang already can play during that match. For Sabahan player .. Relax, Keep On Training and Focus. See you all on my next post.

Sabah Hawks Vs Selangor PKNS 2012

Sabah will take on for Selangor PKNS tonight. This match will be live on 801 Astro Channel at 8.45pm tonight. For the supporter of Sabah Hawks lets us pray for a glorious win tonight. Last week I was at Likas Stadium for a match between Singapore Lions and Sabah Hawks. It was a disappointing game for me and for the 9,999 hardcore supporter for Sabah Hawks. Tonight I want Sabah Hawks to win and off-course Sabah Hawks Fan also want Sabah  FA to win. To get more information about this match, continue reading below article from Sabah Times Newspaper.

KOTA KINABALU: Justin Ganai wants his charges to get the points when they take on Selangor PKNS in a Super League tie at the Petaling Jaya Stadium in Kelana Jaya tonight.

He said they need to make a quick rebound following their 0-1 defeat to Singapore’s Lions XII in their last home game last week.

“We have to make amends in this game. I think it is going to be a tough game, but it leaves us with no other choice but to try to steal at least a point,” said Justin yesterday.

The Sabah head coach said failing to do the job will put the team under pressure.

He believes that as long as the players put their combined efforts into the game, their chances of getting their desired result will be greater.

“They are a good side. They have been together under Abdul Rahman Ibrahim (former national coach) for almost four years now. They have reinforced their squad with new signings, so we have to give our best in order to get the result,” he added.

Justin also hinted of making a tactical plan as he bids to humble their opponents.

With the absence of Mafry Balang, who was red carded against Singapore, Justin is also likely to make a minor reshuffle to his first team players.

However, Justin was reluctant to reveal what he has under his sleeves, apart from naming his probable first team.

He said he is likely to retain Azizon Abd Kadir as his ball-stopper while Rosdin Wasli is expected to fill in the vacuum left by Mafry with Md Reithudin Ag Emran, Mohd Fariss Azlan Mat Isa and Ronny Harun retained in the first team.

Sumardi Hajalan will also start the game, but is likely to be given a new role.

Radzi Mohd Hussin, who did not feature in the last two games, is also expected to make the first team squad so as Shahrul Azhar Ture and Razlan Oto.

Foreign signings Michael William Baird and Brendan Gan will also make the first team with the likes of Bobby Gonzales, Sabri Sahar, Mohd Safuan Ibrahim, Alto Linus, Mohd Rozaimi Abd Rahman and Syed Adney Syed Hussin starting from the bench.

Meanwhile, team manager AR Hj Shahriman Abdullah also fancies their chances against the club side.

He said he is confident the team can walk away with a positive result despite their home defeat to Singapore last week.

“We are a good team and we play our game very well. We controlled the match against Singapore and we were great against T-Team,” Shahriman said in showing his support to his charges.

“If we can get around the problem of scoring goals, I think we can beat any team and that includes our opponents tomorrow night,” he added.

He said with their confidence undamaged despite the defeat to Lions XII, they will be aiming for the points in a bid to make up for the ones they lost.

“Justin will try to unlock the combination so we can have a scoring partnership up front that would hopefully lead us to victory.

Shahriman also reminded his charges to be cautious as this will be an away match and that their opponents can defend their territory quite well, according to previous match records.

“We will play our usual game but we will be cautious as this is an away match. PKNS have a tight defence and we might have to work hard to try and crack them,” he said.

For the record, the match, which is the only Super League tie playing tonight, is likely to be shown live on Astro Channel 801 at 8.45pm.

Sabah FA, Recent Update

Sabah's loss to the Young Lions in the Super League match last Saturday was a huge disappointment for Justin Ganai and the management team.

Instead of giving a perfect present to their coach on Saturday who turned 56 a day earlier, the team lost 1-0 and the performances by some of the players really let the coach down.

Justin who was shouting out instructions at the top his lungs to the boys throughout the match was lost for words after the match.

Team Manager Hj Shariman Abdullah and his assistant Yahya Kassim were also in sombre mood and had deep discussions among themselves in the changing room.

The majority of the 10,000 strong crowd that flooded the Likas Stadium were also left disappointed by the result.

Nobody would have predicted that the team would lose the match as on paper Sabah had stood a very good chance of defeating the young Republic team who were handicapped by injuries and suspension to a few of their key players.

The home team meanwhile, were in high spirit after an impressive performance against table topping T-Team in their away game played days earlier, while the young Lions struggled to beat a weak Kuala Lumpur team 2-1 at home.

The match started with the visiting team taking the initiative to attack Sabah's half. Without any notable strikers in the team, Sabah were in no danger of conceding a goal until the 20th minute when the Young Lions were given a free kick at the right flank.

The free kick could have been avoided if only captain Reithuddin Emran did not lose his cool and decided to kick Yasir Hanapi while he was on the ground after the ball was already out of play.

The clinically taken header by Hariss Harun from Shahdan Sulaiman's free kick proved to be decisive in the heated match.

Hariss was given a free header in the box that rebounded off Mafry Balang and into the net with Sabah custodian Azizon Abd Kadir stranded on the ground.

The goal woke the Sabah players up and they responded almost immediately with K.Thanaraj's free-kick just whizzing over the crossbar, before Michael Baird 's shot was denied by Isa Halim with a block.

Both teams were soon reduced to ten men after both Mafry and Irwan Shah received red cards for an off the ball incident.

The home team were in total control of the match but they just could not penetrate the well organised Singapore defence.

Even on several occasions when they managed to have a shot at the Lions' goal, in form keeper Izwan Mahbud was there to deny Sabah's hopes of salvaging a point.

As a result of the loss, Sabah collected only four points from four matches played and are now in tenth place in the league with one win, one draw and two losses.

Sabah FA

Football Association of Sabah or Sabah FA is a professional football club representing the State for football tournament in Malaysia. The main stadium used by the football club is Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Sabah is the most successful team in East Malaysia. Sabah FA showing it outstanding performances in the Super League and Malaysia Cup where the neighboring state Sarawak football team, cannot beat Sabah FA record. Some of the Malaysian national players were born from this team like the famous twin strikers  in the 1980s era such as Hassan Sani and James Wong. Other than that, the status of Sabah soaring when the English giants Manchester United travel to Sabah in the 1980s to hold a friendly match. The game saw Manchester United beat 0-2 Sabah.

Sabah won the FA Cup in 1995 and the Premier League (now the Malaysian Super League) in 1996. Sabah also emerged as the Malaysia Cup runners-up 1996.

In the era of 2000, Sabah's performance began to decline. They ranked just 11 league and was relegate to the Premier League 2. Sabah tried to rise on the season and a successful became league runners-up. Sabah was back again to the main stage Malaysian football, and they managed to achieve third place in the league. Sabah has also appeared as Malaysia 2002 Cup runner-up for the second time.

The next season, Sabah took fourth place league and they were again disappointed when losing for the third time in the Malaysia Cup final. When the 2004 Malaysian Super League was introduced, the performance of Sabah began to be dropped. Sabah struggle to escape from the removal of the first Premier League season. The next season had to accede when relegate to the Premier League despite venomous striker Julio Rodriguez, who scored 18 goals.

Once relegate to the Premier League, Sabah failed to return to Super League knockout stages despite entering for the Super League. Despite a good start early in the season 2007/08, Sabah ranked only fourth.

The arrival of new coach Gary Phillips began the rise of the performance of the Sabah FA. In the seven months of his service began in December 2009, Sabah ranked second successful Premier League ended six years of waiting while Sabah FA to play again in Super League.

Now 2012, Sabah FA got two import player from Australia and the head coach Mr Justin Ganai promise that Sabah FA at least will win one cup title. Many of ex Sabah player were originated from Tamparuli Sabah such as Vun Keat Ming, Zykeial Leong, Burhan Ajui, Welfredo Valdez, Henry Simpon and many more which I don't recall anymore. We are hoping that Sabah FA will be stronger than before and we want to have the glory day again.
